I read "The Panic-Free Pregnancy" and thought it was amazing. My fiance's sister is a midwife at UCSF and I've pass it on to her to recommend to her patients/students. She has loved it also.
I'm writing b/c I'm leaving next week on my honeymoon, I'm 37, and recently became accidentally pregnant. I miscarried shortly thereafter, but obviously have reason to believe that I'm quite fertile despite my age. Ethan and I would love to start trying to make a baby right away (we're getting married Sunday) but are planning to scuba dive in Bali a few weeks later. Do you think there is any legitimate risk to a fetus from doing so? Even if I were lucky enough to get pregnant right away, I'd be about 2 weeks pregnant at that point. I'd love to start trying Sunday night...but don't want to do anything to harm the future baby.
Thank you so much for answering this. I admired your approach and willingness to take some risks in the book. It was very calming to me, particularly after I miscarried.
